Huron Traditional Site Onhoüa Chetek8e
A figure in period costume will be your guide as you immerse yourself in Huron-Wendat culture. While exploring a reconstituted village, you can learn about an age-old lifestyle. Visit a giant teepee, a longhouse, and smoking and drying huts. Listen to a storyteller recount fascinating tales and legends. Expert craftspeople will show you how snowshoes and canoes, both traditional means of transportation, are made. You can also participate in different workshops, those are popular with children. For a complete sensory experience, sample traditional Wendat cuisine at the onsite restaurant.
