The Barr Brothers

The Barr Brothers is a Montreal-based band driven by Andrew Barr’s playful, polyrhythmic drumming and the songs and guitar work of his brother, Brad Barr. Bass, pedal steel, keyboards, and horns weave in and out of the mix with total freedom. Equally at ease with solemn Acadian ballads, North African–tinged improvisations, or bursts of pure rock ’n’ roll, The Barr Brothers continue to captivate audiences with a musical approach that is both meticulous and playful.

Land of Talk – Opening Act
With Performances, Lizzie Powell reinvents Land of Talk, trading electric guitars for piano and embracing radical vulnerability. Born out of a period of identity doubt, the album is fully self-produced, marked by deep introspection and a return to their lo-fi roots. Carried by tracks like Your Beautiful Self and Marry It, Performances is a liberating act: “I’m reclaiming Land of Talk for what it’s always been,” says Powell.
