A three-act opera by Christoph Willibald Gluck, with a libretto by Ranieri de’ Calzabigi, Orphée et Eurydice explores love, loss and the fear of losing the one we cherish. Directed by Robert Carsen, this major production also marks conductor Bernard Labadie’s return to the Opéra de Québec. Contralto Rose Naggar-Tremblay makes her role debut as Orfeo in this deeply moving and timeless masterpiece.
