A leading figure in Quebec contemporary dance, Danièle Desnoyers presents Soulèvement, a creation in which dance becomes an act of resistance and a celebration of life. On stage, eight women explore their identities and their relationship with the world through powerful, instinctive, and expressive movement. The choreography brings Richard Wagner’s orchestral works into dialogue with the electroacoustic soundscapes of Ben Shemie, frontman of the band Suuns. A bold encounter between movement, music, and emotion.
