The Plains of Abraham Museum is the information and reception centre of the Battlefields Park. It offers permanent and temporary exhibitions, including the recent exhibition "Québec 1775 : Blizzards and Battle", which focuses on the American invasion of Québec City during the winter of 1775, and "Battles 1759-1760", as well as various activities. You will also find all the information you need to explore Canada's first national historic park, which welcomes some 4 million visitors each year.

Canada's first national historic park. National Battlefields Park is over a hundred years old. Its main sites are the Plains of Abraham (98 hectares) and Des Braves Park (5 hectares). The 1759 Battle of the Plains of Abraham was the defining confrontation between the French and British Empires in North America. Months later, in 1760, the two powers clashed again in the Battle of Sainte-Foy, where Des Braves Park now stands. The urban park welcomes some 4 million visitors each year!

Battlefields Park was created in 1908 at the site of clashes between the British and French armies led by Wolfe and Montcalm (1759), and then Murray and Lévis (1760). The Plains of Abraham are recognized as one of the most prestigious urban parks in the world, a celebration of recreational activity, culture and history. Several walking trails criss-cross the park, leading to spectacular viewpoints and countless attractions, activities and exhibitions visitors can appreciate year-round.
