Raised in Wiikwemkoong First Nation on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Crystal Shawanda is one of Canada’s leading blues artists. After launching her career in Nashville’s country scene, she found international acclaim in the blues world, earning a Juno Award for Church House Blues. Her latest album, Sing Pretty Blues (2025), further cements her reputation as one of the genre’s most compelling voices.
