L'Expérience Nirvana symphonique Unplugged
More than 30 years after the death of Kurt Cobain, the leading figure of the Grunge cultural, social, and musical movement, the Grand Théâtre will once again host L’Expérience Nirvana symphonique unplugged, a complete recreation of the legendary MTV Unplugged Live in New York, broadcast live in 1993 and released the following year.
For this symphonic version, the band Hommage à Nirvana Unplugged in New York by Luis and Manu—who have been presenting this cult show in venues across Québec for several years—will be joined by 50 musicians from the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, under the direction and orchestral arrangements of conductor Olivier Hébert.
Co-produced by Patrick Lessard and Jonathan Bélanger, the creative forces behind the highly popular AnesthesiA – Hommage symphonique à Metallica with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, as well as the brand-new AC/DC Story symphonique, this production is also enjoying tremendous success.
