Interactive animations: Wish Machines

Visual artist Fannie Giguère lights up winter with an interactive luminous trail that brings the quartier Saint-Roch to life. Installed on the façades along rue Saint-Joseph and nearby streets, this series of five ephemeral art works invite all ages to rediscover the magic of wish-making rituals: blowing out birthday candles, crossing your fingers, plucking daisy petals, linking pinkies with a friend, or catching 11:11 on the clock.

At the press of a button, large line drawings—created with LED strips—come alive in frame-by-frame sequences, like glowing GIFs. A poetic, participatory experience that warms the streets… and hearts.
