3e Avenue, the main shopping street in Limoilou is home to some of the city’s most popular restaurants and is just a few minutes away from ExpoCité. Ville de Québec
Named after the legendary Montreal Canadiens hockey player, Place Jean-Béliveau is a one-of-a-kind space where you can meet up with friends and hang out. In winter, it transforms into a beautiful skating rink so you can rent skates and get out on the ice yourself. In the middle of the space is La Rencontre, the largest bronze sculpture ever cast in Canada. This tribute to hockey is made up of a deer balancing on another deer, creating a mirror image. Fun fact: A 1984 puck from cherished hockey club Les Nordiques de Québec is hidden inside the sculpture where the deer’s heart would be.
4 Discover New Interests and Find Good Deals
ExpoCité hosts spectacular events all year round, such as the Québec Bacon Fest in June, the Grande Foire de Québec in August, and the International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament in February. And that’s not including the Centre de foires, which regularly hosts trade shows and exhibitions full of good finds. There’s a toys and games show in November (Salon du jeu et du jouet), a pet show in October (Salon national des animaux de compagnie), a bridal show in October (Salon des Mariés de Québec), the National Women’s Show in November, an arts and crafts show in December (Salon des Artisans et des Métiers d’Art de Québec), a home show in February (Expo habitat Québec), the Québec City International Auto Show in March—and that’s not even the half of it!
