Open to the general public, the Centre Castor boasts one of the most attractive cross-country skiing sites in the Québec City region. Here, you will find excellent trails divided into tracks from beginner to expert.

The 95-kilometre linear network is groomed daily and patrolled. The trails are mechanically groomed and double-tracked. Ski skating and cross-country ski are possible their entire length. Refuge in the trails

This activity is offered to Centre Castor's civilian clientele thanks to an agreement signed between the Fédération québécoise de la montagne et de l'escalade (FQME) and the Department of National Defence. Participants are required to purchase an annual or daily membership to the FQME.

The annual membership gives access to the different affiliated sites. Both options include accident and disability insurance. However, participants are totally autonomous as to their safety and their eventual evacuation in case of an accident.

This outdoor recreation centre, open to the general public, is located at the foot of Mount Brillant on the Valcartier Base.

Everyone welcome! It is also possible to host a reception, family get-together or similar event on the grounds. Many facilities and services at your disposal. The activities that may be practiced here:

All season activities: unusual accommodation in a luxury yurt (Valcartier Yurt Village), catering, bar, mountain fitness trail

Winter activities: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sliding, fatbike, FQME - downhill

Summer activities: golf, mountain biking, hiking

Our centre stands out by its offer. Our goal is to help you learn and grow as an individual in this sport. Our network is designed to provide the skills required to start mountain biking and to reach a sufficient level to attend the more technical centers.

The marked cross-country ski trails can be used by mountain bikers. Recreational or competitive. We have 95 linear km of cross-country trails.

Magnificent 18-hole course open to all. Make your tee-time reservation online. The Centre Castor golf course is located 20 minutes from Old Québec, in an enchanting natural setting. Its 72 par golf course measuring 6,281 yards (blue markers) is designed to please everyone.

While relatively flat and easy to walk, this course nevertheless offers significant challenges to all calibre golfers. One-day members welcome.
