Distillerie Stadaconé

This distillery in the Limoilou district stands out on account of its innovative products and approach. During the guided tour, visitors take part in an immersive historical game on the first encounters between French explorers and the Aboriginal peoples living along the St. Lawrence River. Afterward, the distillery's three types of gin may be sampled. The red gin is mild and tart with a hint of cranberry; the blue gin calls to mind the freshness of boreal forest undergrowth; and the black gin is an exotic stimulation of the palate. Indulge yourself with one, two or all three types of gin to impress your friends with incredible cocktails. Renowned for its impeccable products and installations, this environmentally responsible business has innovated by implementing consignment for its bottles.

Distillerie Stadaconé reinvents the conventional guided tour by turning it into an intriguing and fun experience. Take part in a puzzle game where you are onboard a ship in the early days of global exploration. When you’ve recovered from your harrowing experiences, take the guided tour for a behind-the-scenes look at the artisanal distilling process. It ends in friendly fashion with tastings of the house’s superb gins: the cranberry-flavoured ROUGE, the boreal-accented BLEU, and the exotic NOIR.

It is no coincidence this distillery is located halfway between explorer Jacques Cartier's September 1535 campsite and the Iroquois (Mohawk) village of Stadaconé. Take an innovative immersive tour that includes an escape room to resolve an incident aboard a sixteenth-century sailing ship. Your guide will then lead you through the installations, where you will learn how spirits are made. The tour concludes with a sampling of the distillery's three types of gin. No reservation required for a plant tour, which includes a product tasting.
