Built in 1884, this slide is possibly the oldest attraction in the city—racing down a slope at crazy speeds did not go out of fashion in the 19th century!
For more than 135 years, the wooden slide on the Dufferin Terrace has echoed with joyous shrieks! So grab a toboggan, make sure your toque is on nice and tight, and zoom down the run at speeds of up to 70 km/h (43.5 miles/h)!
You can share the thrill as a family with a four-seater, or race against a buddy in the side-by-side runs. If you want a break during your sledding fun, you can have a snack, warm beverage or bowl of steaming soup at the heated Kiosk next to the Château Frontenac.
The slide runs are open from mid-December to mid-March, though the Kiosk is open year-round. In the summer, you can get a sandwich or ice cream cone to savour as you admire the view of the St. Lawrence River stretched out below.
