Joep Beving

The talented pianist Joep Beving returns to Palais Montcalm with compositions from his brand-new project, Liminal. The Dutch artist, who rose to prominence in 2015 with his debut album Solipsism, continues to establish himself as a leading figure in the neoclassical scene, with a sensitive and delicate style in which every note is carefully chosen.

Released in March on the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label, Liminal takes the form of a quest for renewal. Beving explores a relationship with the world in which we listen to nature, move with it, and allow it to express itself through art. With sounds that range from luminous to otherworldly, the pianist invites us to find refuge in the mesmerizing slowness of reflective moments, contemplating our place in the universe.
