The Latest and the Greatest of Summer 2026

With Hyperrealism. This Is Not a Body, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec invites visitors into a striking world where illusion and reality become almost indistinguishable. Featuring around forty sculptures that are astonishingly lifelike, the exhibition traces how the human figure has evolved in art since the 1970s.

Both captivating and slightly unsettling, these works challenge the way we see the body, identity, and reality itself. On view until October 12, 2026.

This summer, the Aquarium du Québec will unveil Louphoque, a fully redesigned space that transforms the central island into an immersive marine environment. The new layout features modern habitats and expansive glass viewing areas, allowing visitors to observe the animals both above and below the water.

At the heart of the project are sea otters—playful yet vulnerable marine mammals—sharing their habitat with new seal species in a setting inspired by northern coastlines.

Located in Sainte-Foy, the entry door of Québec City, AWŪ stands out as the only spa offering panoramic views of the city from its rooftop thermal pools located atop the Complexe Jules-Dallaire. One distinctive feature sets it apart from traditional spas: silence is not mandatory. Guests are welcome to converse quietly in the saunas and steam rooms.

AWŪ brings together five interconnected spaces: a thermal circuit, a café-restaurant, a movement studio, a nomadic workspace, and a boutique. Together, these spaces create the foundation for a holistic wellness experience that nurtures both mind and body, from the moment guests arrive until they leave.

Where fun takes flight for everyone! Québec City’s newest entertainment destination, Bfly brings a variety of family-friendly attractions together under one roof. Highlights include its signature butterfly aviaries, where hundreds of exotic butterflies fly freely around visitors, as well as the largest Bfly mirror maze to date.

The centre also features an 18-hole jungle-themed mini-golf course brought to life with giant animatronic animals, along with a massive four-storey indoor playground packed with exciting challenges, climbing structures and countless slides.

The permanent exhibition Resonances: From Their Lives To Ours offers a thoughtful, immersive journey into the history of the Augustines. Through artifacts, archival material, and contemporary installations, it highlights their legacy of care and the way it continues to resonate today—bridging memory, healing, and well-being.

An inspiring experience that brings past and present into conversation in a truly unique setting.

Already well known for its circuit linking the city’s main tourist attractions, the Red Bus route is being expanded with a new section along Boulevard Champlain, offering spectacular views of the Québec Bridge and the Sillery area.

The service is also serving the Maguire Street area for the first time, a dynamic commercial district particularly popular with both residents and visitors.

Another new feature this year is real-time bus tracking, allowing visitors to better plan their stops and make the most of each visit.
 

From September 3 to 7, Mont-Sainte-Anne will host the renowned Crankworx World Tour for the very first time in Québec. Over five days, the world’s top mountain bikers will go head-to-head on spectacular courses as part of this prestigious international series, held in only a select few destinations.

More than just a competition, Crankworx brings a vibrant festival atmosphere, with shows and activities for all ages—turning the mountain into a true celebration of the outdoors.
