Buy Local in the Petit-Champlain District

Petit-Champlain’s unique historic cachet makes it the ideal setting for a romantic stroll. The pedestrian-only streets are lined with charming shops and bistros and all decked out for the holidays, filling the air with magic and romance.

It’s also the perfect place to pick up holiday gifts, like carefully curated kitchen tools and accessories (including many local finds) from Pot en Ciel. Just down the street, you’ll find Boutique Métiers d’art du Québec and the Musée de la civilisation gift shop, which carry unique creations from a number of Québec artists and makers.

Take a Quick Trip to Europe at the German Christmas Market

Slowly walk up Côte de la Montagne for more of the holiday spirit at the German Christmas Market. There are sparkling Christmas trees, magical lights, Christmas carols, and wooden stands where you’ll find unique gifts and sweet nothings, like German gingerbread. Before you go, be sure to stop by the Boutique de Noël and the original Simons store, both of which are right beside the market.

Once the German Christmas Market is over, the activity on the sites continues with Kaléidoscopes where visual arts, theater, music, performing arts and literature are presented throughout the Holiday Season.
