Take This Waltz: Celebrating the Music of Leonard Cohen

Take This Waltz blends opera and contemporary dance through the music of Leonard Cohen.

On stage, Canadian baritone Daniel Okulitch is joined by a chamber ensemble and multidisciplinary artist Ted Littlemore, who combines dance and accordion.

The production reimagines Cohen’s songs through voice, movement, music and visual arts, while preserving their distinctive character.

Premiered in 2022, the work is a co-production of Vancouver Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria and the Chutzpah! Festival.
