La Classique du Vieux-Québec

This winter, the heart of Québec City comes alive with a festive and welcoming program spread over several weekends. In a warm, friendly atmosphere, ice sculptures, winter challenges, outdoor dance nights, music, sweet treats, and relaxation areas turn some of downtown’s most iconic locations into true winter playgrounds. An open invitation to fully embrace winter with friends and family.

January 30, 31 and February 1 — Terrasse Dufferin
A lively atmosphere featuring ice sculptures, tubing, the coureur des bois challenge, maple taffy on snow, and outdoor entertainment.

Free tubing tickets are available at participating local businesses.

Two outdoor dance evenings—country and traditional—round out the program.

Ice sculpture demonstrations, winter sports challenges, and sweet treats are offered throughout the weekend.

February 14 — Terrasse Dufferin
A special evening featuring NHL mascots, live toboggan races, entertainment, and dance contests for a high-energy night to remember.

February 20, 21 and 22 — Place d’Youville, église Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville
The final weekend moves to Place d’Youville, the forecourt of Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church, and City Hall Square, with DJ nights, guest artists, entertainment, food trucks, and a traditional sugar shack.

The Olympiades du Faubourg invite participants to take part in playful winter competitions such as snow shoveling, wrist wrestling, and boot throwing.

A bar and relaxation areas will be available on site to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

At Place d’Youville
Evening DJ sets and live artists, free hot chocolate with a reusable mug, street food, giant games, and family-friendly activities.

Pop-up Winter Plaza — January 30 to February 22 — Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville
A cozy gathering space featuring fire pits, Adirondack chairs, and illuminated installations inspired by hockey.
