Where to stay to be close to Québec City’s German Christmas Market
To fully enjoy the magical atmosphere and experience the Christmas market on foot, without worrying about transportation, the best option is to stay within the city walls or in the Parliament Hill area. Accommodations in the Petit-Champlain and Old Port neighbourhoods, located in the Lower Town, are also very close: you can reach the market by walking up to the Upper Town—a pleasant little climb that rewards you with beautiful city views—or take the funicular for an even easier and charming ride.

If you’re not staying in Old Québec and are arriving by car, it’s best to park on the outskirts of Old Québec and walk to the market.
