Free Video Mural: Lueurs de mémoire

As night falls, the Gabrielle-Roy Library transforms into a giant screen with Lueurs de mémoire, a video mural that brings Québec City’s history, heritage and literary culture to life.

This 40-minute collective work features four short films by local artists, created using visual archives from the City of Québec and its partners, including the Huron-Wendat Nation and Université Laval. Texts by Québec City authors add a literary dimension to the projections, creating a dialogue between archival images, memory and literature.

Presented every evening on a loop from nightfall until 11 p.m., Lueurs de mémoire is projected onto the east façade of the Gabrielle-Roy Library. For the best viewing experience, settle in at Place Jacques-Cartier or simply discover the video mural as you stroll through the Saint-Roch neighbourhood.
