The Strange Carnival

Upcoming dates TBA

The Strange Carnival offers a free and diverse program inspired by Victorian and steampunk vibes to celebrate Halloween. The event includes a swing dance initiation on October 25 at Place d’Armes, festive evenings at Café-Terrasse La Nouvelle-France, nighttime tours at the Monastère des Augustines, and themed Ghost Walks.

Throughout the weekend, several cultural activities are planned:

  • Rue Sainte-Anne: Interactive Zoltar installation by Théâtre Rude Ingénierie.
  • Holy Trinity Cathedral: Entertainment, skill games, face painting, and hat-making with the Musée ambulant.
  • Place d’Armes: Acrobats, stilt walkers, circus workshops, and luminous hula hoops.
  • Gourmet tours and a family historical rally in Old Quebec.

A multitude of activities for both young and old are offered to immerse everyone in the festive Halloween atmosphere.

Additionally, merchants in Old Quebec will invite passersby to collect candies throughout the three-day carnival. Oh Mon Kogo! will be present with a street food truck, and Cochon Dingue will distribute thousands of cookies.
