    Mosaicultures in Québec City for the First Time Ever

    See some 200 plant sculptures arranged into 20 larger-than-life scenes made with over six million plants. The theme of this year’s plant sculpture festival—Once Upon a Time: The Earth—is an ode to the beauty of life on our planet. The sculptures will be on display at enchanting Bois-de-Coulonge Park, which will also be presenting its historic past.

    An Immersive Multimedia Pathway in Wendake

    Produced in collaboration with the internationally renowned Québec firm Moment Factory, Onhwa’ Lumina will transport visitors to a magical world combining nature and technology with, as a backdrop, the rich history of the Huron-Wendat Nation. With a length of 1.2 km, Onhwa' Lumina will be open to the public at nightfall.

    America. Between Dreams and Realities Exhibition

    Explore a selection of works that illustrate the impact of America’s social and cultural history on its art, from the Great Depression to the present day. Artists featured include Louise Bourgeois, Edward Hopper, Arthur Jafa, les Guerrilla Girls, Willem de Kooning, Ana Mendieta, Louise Nevelson, Isamu Noguchi, Jackson Pollock, Lorna Simpson, and Andy Warhol.

    This world exclusive was custom-curated for MNBAQ using works from the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden collection in Washington, DC.

    Imagine Monet: An Immersive Exhibition

    Lose yourself in a world of oversized images taken from the paintings of Claude Monet, the famous French impressionist. An innovative experience that awakens the senses. Imagine Monet is presented at Cruise Terminal 30 in Québec’s Old Port (near the grain silos). Reservations required.

    New Immersive Space at Aquarium du Québec

    Hundreds of animals come to life in the aquarium’s new immersive projection room. See eels, polar bears, Greenland sharks, sperm whales, and giant squids in Aquarium du Québec’s ImMERsion experience.

    Cigale: Music, Food, and Fun at the Beach

    A day at the Baie de Beauport always feels like a vacation getaway. Add two days of musical performances on two stages, craft beers, cocktails, and great food, and you have all the makings of a great moment with friends. This new festival is set to be one of the hottest events in Québec City this summer.

    This year’s lineup includes: KALEO, Portugal. The Man, Andy Grammer, Robert Robert, and many more!

    River Shuttle Between Old Québec and Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré

    On foot or by bike, board the new AML Cruises river shuttle between Québec City's Old Port and Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. From there, several options are available, with or without meals: self-guided tour of the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine and the surrounding area or a bus excursion to Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canyon Sainte-Anne or Sentier des Caps.

    Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré: Beyond the Famous Shrine

    Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is looking better than ever this summer!

    • Domaine Sainte-Anne: Pitch a tent on this grassy haven across from Sainte-Anne Shrine for a few nights of camping or just to enjoy everything it has to offer: vintage roller skates, shows, yoga, evening campfires, and more!
    • Refurbished wharf: This access point to the St. Lawrence River is sure to be a lively spot this summer, for fishing, sea kayaking, kitesurfing, boating, and zodiac rides (coming soon).

    A New Eco-Friendly Outdoor Recreation Centre

    Located north of Québec City in Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval, Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres is the place to go for sustainable outdoor fun. This summer, the centre will feature hiking, electric side-by-side vehicle rental, forest survival workshops and more activities to be added at a later date.

  • This summer will see the introduction of 400 e-bikes across 40 stations in Old Québec and the city centre. The bike-sharing service, called àVélo, is a sustainable alternative for short trips around town.
  •  The Port of Québec has announced the upcoming opening of the new Port of Québec Oasis and its first item of business—welcoming swimmers to the first-ever harbour bath in North America. The site is slated to open at the end of June 2022.
  • Stoneham Nordic Spa recently opened its first 5 tiny Nordic chalets. By spring 2023 the spa will have a total of 14 units available for stays in harmony with nature.
  • The Jacques-Cartier–Portneuf bike route has been a favourite among cyclists for nearly 25 years. This summer, 7 basic campsites have been added to the northern portion of the route.
  • Explore Côte-de-Beaupré and Route de la Nouvelle-France with the help of a new interactive map that puts photos, an audio guide, and informative content at your fingertips!
