Satie : Morceaux choisis en forme d’hommage

Érik Satie holds a unique place in the history and repertoire of music. Unclassifiable, his compositions foreshadow American minimalism while drawing close to surrealism and absurdity. Poetry is often present, especially in his famous piano works. Les Violons du Roy are exploring Satie for the very first time, thanks to transcriptions by Simon Desbiens, specially created for them on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of this remarkable iconoclast's birth.
