Pipo Romero

Virtuoso guitarist Pipo Romero, hailing from Cádiz, Spain, has earned an enviable reputation for his compositions, which blend a multitude of influences (flamenco, folk, Celtic, country, and classical), as well as for his technique and choice of instrument—he favors the acoustic guitar over the traditional Spanish six-string. Romero will present his third album, Ikigai, a tribute to Spanish folklore and its fusion with Atlantic traditions.

Since his debut album, Folklórico (2017), which reached the top 10 on the world music charts in Europe, Romero has worked closely with Canadian luthier Michael Greenfield. He has toured alongside acoustic guitar legends Don Ross and Pierre Bensusan and now shares his music solo across the globe.
