Less Toches

Crowned the Grand Winner of the 2024 Syli d’Or for World Music, Less Toches is a traditional Colombian cumbia quintet composed of an accordion, a guacharaca, a bass, and Afro-Colombian percussion.

The musicians, hailing from various regions of Latin America where cumbia has influenced the urban music scene, evoke the festive atmosphere of their homelands. Their music feels like a family reunion, bringing together those who haven't seen each other in a long time. Other genres, such as bolero, bullerengue, and French chanson, are seamlessly woven into the group's music, creating a subtle multicultural fusion.
