Historian David Mendel is a renowned speaker and expert guide who has given tours for many visiting dignitaries, including heads of state and royalty. The author of a best-selling series of guidebooks devoted to Québec City, the Mendel Guides, he was honoured as Tourism Personality of the Year, in 2014, and awarded the Medal of the Quebec Historical Society, in 2015. Recently retired as president of Mendel Tours, which he co-founded in 1984, he offers private tours, tours for small groups, and inspiring talks on the history of Québec City.
