- Transat Québec St-Malo

2024 marks the return of the Transat Québec St-Malo, this legendary race which brings together dozens of the fastest sailboats in the world, as well as hundreds of teammates from all over the world. For 10 days, the Transat will offer a festive program in the Old Port, ending with the spectacular start of the course. June 20 to 30, 2024

2Diocese of Québec Turns 350 and Holy Door Opens
Until December 8, 2024, the Catholic Church of Québec marks the 350th anniversary of the founding of its diocese, which, at the peak of its influence in 1712, covered the entire American continent as far as the Gulf of Mexico. The thousands of people expected during the year are invited to discover the richness of Quebec City’s religious heritage. Here are some of the activities on the program:
- Opening of the Holy Door: It is possible to pass through the only Holy Door outside of Europe. A unique spiritual experience not to be missed.
- Pilgrimage in Old Québec: The Pèlerinage Vieux-Québec Website facilitates the organization of an individual or group pilgrimage through the holy places of Old Québec.
- New Kapoah trail: 4 to 10 day itineraries, inspired by the Camino de Santiago, to walk in the footsteps of the indigenous people, the first settlers and the saints of the Québec region.

3Musée de la civilisation - Featured Exhibitions
The MCQ is renewing several of its halls by presenting new exhibitions that are as interactive and captivating as ever.
- Gladiators -Heroes of the Colosseum: Explore in a new way the lives of these fighters who aroused so much admiration through more than 150 pieces dating from the era of ancient Rome.
- Wrestling: Québec in the Ring: Sport, theatre, circus, entertainment? Wrestling is a fascinating universe that leaves no one indifferent. This exhibition is developed in collaboration with the creative company Ex Machina and its artistic director, Robert Lepage.
- In Other Words, Québec: This new permanent exhibition presents historical events specific to the evolution of Québec society through six pavilions, each with a specific theme.

While awaiting the end of the work for the opening of the Espace Riopelle planned for 2026, the Pavillon Pierre-Lassonde is offering major exhibitions this summer.
- Rembrandt. Etchings from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen: This exhibition highlights this famous artist's innovative approach to the art of printmaking, revolutionizing the medium with bold experimentation. A panorama of the artist's exceptional skill, demonstrating his human, aesthetic and technical mastery.
- Helen McNicoll. An Impressionist journey: Despite the restrictive norms imposed on women of her social class in the early 1900s, this little-known Canadian artist distinguished herself by her love of travel and her exploration of new horizons. The exhibition features more than 60 works exploring themes of female independence, risk-taking, friendship, and women's freedom.

5New Triathlon Competition
The German series Challenge Family, operating in 27 countries, has chosen Québec City as the host city for its first triathlon in North America. The Sail Challenge CAP Québec will welcome athletes for three events in a picturesque setting: the swim will take place in the Louise Basin, surrounded by majestic sailboats; the bike course will follow the St. Lawrence River to Montmorency Falls; the running course will provide a view of Québec's history and the outdoor environment that the city has to offer.
